| Syllabus: | This unit is designed to explore and critique the theory and practice of tourism destination management in an international context. Tourism destinations are a constantly evolving combination of products and services, attractions and activities, accommodation and amenities. Understanding how and why destinations form and develop in particular ways, and why they decline in popularity provides insights into effective strategies for their successful and sustainable development. This unit also provides future managers with the theoretical and practical basis for effective international destination management. |
