Syllabus: | The unit will focus on a number of contemporary economic fields of study that are viewed as important in the context of current domestic Australian, regional or international economic developments. Specific areas may include environmental and resource economics, labour markets, public finance and international economics. The selection of topics will vary from year to year.The unit will cover the economic theory central to each area of study, providing the skills to identify and empirically analyse and assess related economic problems. A detailed understanding of the literature in each field will also allow for evaluation of policy debates. |
