Rank of a matrix; solution of systems of m linear equations; Homogeneous linear systems; Determinants; Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors; Complex numbers: Cartesian and polar forms, modulus, argument and principal value; Regions of the complex plane; Exponential form; De Moivre's Theorem, root extraction and roots of polynomials; Functions of two and three variables; Vector Valued Functions; Partial derivatives; Total differential and approximations; 1st order Ordinary Differential Equations - Linear & Separable; direction fields; Applications; Homogeneous 2nd order linear ODEs with constant coefficients; Method of undetermined coefficients; Method of variation of parameters; Applications; Numerical solutions of 1st order ODEs: Euler, Improved Euler and Runge-Kutta Methods. |
