Syllabus: | This unit covers several aspects of human development from fertilization to birth including Introduction to human development including human evolution and cell-to-cell communication. Development of different body organ systems during embryonic and foetal period. Cellular and molecular bases of human development Developmental origin of human diseases and anomalies. Stem cell developmental biology and tissue repair. The legal and ethical implications of human reproduction and technological intervention in human reproduction. |
