This major is specifically designed for professional logistics specialists who are interested in significantly advancing their career in the area of logistics and strategic procurement. Areas of study include: materials management, logistics information systems, managing information systems projects and risk, purchasing and procurement, strategic procurement, strategic logistics management, and law. This course will meet the needs of those professionals with technical and supervisory skills in logistics and strategic procurement.
Professional Recognition
Graduates are eligible to apply for membership to Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), the Chartered Institution of Transport and the Logistics Association of Australia (LAA ).

A graduate of this course can:
1. apply logistics and supply chain knowledge, principle and practices in a business of public sector environment to ensure effective and efficient operations of an organisation, fulfil a managerial role in logistics and supply chain management within organisations
2. apply logical and analytical methods to improve logistics and supply chain processes and activities, think creatively to generate innovative solutions to logistics and supply chain problems
3. use information expertly to manage and improve logistics and supply chain practices
4. communicate at an advanced level, using appropriate terminology, with individuals and groups in organisations and within supply chains
6. take responsibility for own learning and professional development to maximise career progression and advancement throughout the working life
7. identify, understand and deal effectively with international issues relevant to logistics and supply chain management
8. identify, understand and deal effectively with cultural issues relevant to supply chain management
9. work independently and demonstrate ethical and professional leadership in logistics and supply chain management areas
