Syllabus: Introduction to financial modeling using real-world models. The development process: understand, design, build, test, implement and maintain excel as a modelling tool. Design principles and the user interface. Workshop design (benefit projection modelling). The analytical process (using workers compensation insurance as an example). Workshop analysis (workers compensation insurance modelling). Completion: testing, security and maintenance. Introduction to modelling using VBA, and advanced VBA techniques.Working with data in excel. Stochastic asset/liability modeling. Workshop stochastic (stochastic asset/liability modelling).
