Syllabus: A broad understanding of the meaning of economics in relation to managing aquatic resources. Topics include: the market conditions facing government agencies responsible for fisheries and environmental management, and/or private companies whose operations involve utilising freshwater and marine resources. Other topics include fiscal and monetary policy, trade balance, employment policy and policy options.
