The Mental Health Nursing Stream within the Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing is a co-operative program with Murdoch University to prepare registered nurses with a recognised qualification as a speciality of mental health nursing with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Western Australia. Key elements of the curriculum are professional accountability, evidence-based practice, increased knowledge and skills in the area of mental health and the competence to practice as a mental health nurse.
