General chemistry involving ideal gas laws, thermochemistry and thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, phase diagrams and colligative properties. Atomic structure and trends and covalent bonding. Reactions and properties of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and stereoisomerism. Experiments involving qualitative analysis, introductory titrimetric analysis, gravimetric analysis, measurement of heats and rates of reactions and reactions of hydrocarbons. |
