Presentation of the major elements of environmental and natural resource economics, focusing on the applications to environmental decision making - the role of economics in environmental management - economic efficiency and markets - market failure, externalities and property rights - non-renewable and renewable resources - benefit-cost analysis - policy instruments such as taxes and tradable permits - applications of environmental economics and international environmental issues such as the economics ofclimate change.
