Introduction to groundwater, emphasizing geological controls on groundwater flow; quantitative methods of analyzing aquifer systems; groundwater exploration methods-surface and subsurface; groundwater drilling technologies-methods, economics; regional hydrogeology; water quality and pollution-physical and chemical processes governing the transport of solutes in groundwater; application of hydrogeologic and geochemical theory and practice to the protection of aquifers from contamination.
