Fundamentals of statics and dynamics for chemical engineering, mineral processing and mining engineering. Shear force and bending moment in beams. Effect of beam shape - centroid and moments of area. Application of the principles of statics, forces and equilibrium to determinate pin jointed plane frames and supporting structures for piping and process equipment. Application of engineering dynamics to the motion of fluids, particles and rigid bodies - linear, rotational, constrained and relative motion.
