Development of computing skills to run specialist applications associated with genome, protein and evolutionary analysis. Comparative review and use of MacOS, Windows 98 and NT, Unix and VMS operating systems and their use for a variety of specialist tasks. Use of internet browsers to access molecular data and use publicly available interactive web applications. File utility software, including FTP, format conversion, compression and depression. Creation of interactive databases on the internet. |
