Historical aspects of urban development. Urban systems and central place systems. City form and structure. The factors influencing the location of residential, commercial and industrial land uses. The effects of urbanisation on the physical and social environment. Case studies from Australia, Western Europe, North America and Monsoon Asia will be utilised extensively for illustrative purposes. |
