Introduction to epidemiological study, association and causation, principles of disease identification, reliability and validity, measurement of morbidity and mortality, properties of rates and ratios, age standardisation procedures, descriptive epidemiological surveys, data collection methods, analytical epidemiological studies, randomised controlled trials, health surveillance, analysis of epidemiological surveys, inference and causation. Use of personal and main frame computers in data analysis. |
