Metals, insulators and semiconductors. Band theory of semiconductors. Quantum statistics - Fermi-dirac and Boltzman distributions. Hall effect. Transport equation for electrons and holes. Diode circuits and models. Bipolar Junction and Field Effect Transistor circuits and models. Incremental device models as a basis for circuit design.
