Flight planning and navigational logs. Natural/radio position lines. Navigation during climbs/descent/turns. Solution of turn problems. Advanced point of no return, critical point, safe diversion. Navigation and flight planning problems for turbo-jet aircraft. Advanced air navigation instruments, radio aids, inertial reference systems. Principles of GPS positioning. Conversion between geographic, cartesian and plane coordinate systems. Datum shift versus seven parameter transformation of Cartesian coordinates. Elementary radar, air traffic control systems.
