The work of the semester is presented in four study components - typography, design principles and techniques, photographic imagery and digital rendering. Studio sessions will introduce appropriate digital rendering techniques as well as the creative use of various types of grid systems for effective communication in the design principles component. In the typography component there will be a three week project to help gain a deeper understanding of the potential of type. The photographic component willaddress the possibilities of seeing and recording through the lens of a camera as a design process, and visual communication through photo image composition. |
