Explanation of an overview of the nervous system, blood supply to the brain, meninges, CSF, ventricular system, excitatory and inhibitory synapses and transmitters, receptors types and functions, somatosensation, visual, auditory and vestibular perception, cortical, cerebellar and brainstem control of movement and posture. The roles of hypothalamus and associated parts of the brain in controlling appetite and sleep. The roles and interaction of the ANS with cerebral function. The roles of the limbic sstem in emotion, learning and memory.
