Introduction
This course is designed to provide foundation studies for students who wish to undertake bachelors degrees in the Division of Engineering and Science. It is particularly suitable for students who have not had an opportunity to advance their knowledge andskills in sciences and mathematics.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
Applicants who have had limited educational opportunity are encouraged to apply. Selection is based on an assessment of a personal portfolio and an interview.

Duration and Availability
This course is of one year full-time or equivalent part-time study.

Course Organisation
A study program is determined by the Academic Coordinator following an interview and an assessment of career option by the student.

Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.

Special Note
Successful completion of the program will guarantee matriculation to the University but not to any particular course. Entry to courses is a Curtin teaching and school matter and students should be advised of the limitations of some programs.
