Introduction

The aim of this course (formerly Bachelor of Science (Multidisciplinary Science) (Honours)) is to enable students to extend their knowledge of current academic research methodologies as applied in their stream and minor disciplines and to demonstrate this through the conduct of a supervised research project and preparation of an honours dissertation.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

Refer to Admission into Honours Degree Programs and Regulations for Honours Degrees (General Information section). Students must have also maintained a continuous minor stream into third year with a minimum of one and a half full units at third year level.

Specific Requirements

Students must complete two honours dissertation units, a seminar based unit in the stream discipline, and course work units predominantly from the stream and minor disciplines at fourth year level.

Duration and Availability

The course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study.

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
