Introduction
This course is designed to allow a graduate in engineering to proceed to further studies in a particular field by means of advanced coursework and a project. This program is more suited to international students.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A recognised bachelor of engineering degree at honours level. The Department of Civil Engineering is prepared to consider applications from other graduates in engineering but admission in such cases may be subject to successful completion of a prescribedqualifying program.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
Duration and Availability
The course is by coursework and project and normally requires one to two years of full-time study. The course is also available in part-time mode.
Course Organisation
The program of study is assigned to the candidate after consultation with the Head of Department. The availability of course units is currently under review and inquiries should be made to the Head of Department.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
