Syllabus: | The investigation may be in any appropriate area within the discipline spatial science, provided it has the recommendation of a supervisor who is a member of staff in the Department of Spatial Sciences and the approval of the Head of Department. Students are expected to give a seminar to the class towards the end of the semester. Research and practical experience in one or more of the spatial sciences areas including surveying, geographic information science, mapping and mine and engineering surveying. Surveying, GIScience, Cartography, Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning, Remote Sensing, GPS, Cadastral and engineering surveying, Adjustment theory, Land planning, Hydrography, Spatial database design, Spatial data analysis and modelling, Map design and evaluation, and any other areas within the Department of Spatial Sciences. |
