312531 v.1 Corporate Media Production Major (Master)

Introduction

The Corporate Media Production Major will focus on the creative production of corporate films including short form documentaries and advertising. Students will develop camera, sound and editing skills alongside script develop and script writing assignments. These skills are in high demand given the expansion of web based media and communications and their adoption by many companies. Students will be encourages to explore a range of projects in their final semester including action research linked directly to their workplaces or in areas where they would like to seek employment upon graduation. The School has the ability to provide a range of academic supervisors for these programs, which cover a significant number of professional disciplines. Preliminary project work would include seminars on traditional research methods but link to industry based techniques.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials. Production-based units have an incidental fee attached to assist with the provision of consumable items, so students may incur additional fees over the duration of the course of up to $200 depending on their choice of units.
