311510 v.1 Health Policy and Management Major (Master)

Introduction

This multidisciplinary major within the Master of Public Health provides an overview of the key disciplines that incorporate the areas of health policy and management for those without a background as well as for those experienced health service personnel from a variety of discipline areas desiring to expand their knowledge of these issues within the context of health care provision. It is designed to combine knowledge about public health and health management to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills for a career in health services management.

N1    Students who select Research Project 650 will need to complete a total of six optional units.

N2    Students must complete Research Dissertation 601 if they first select Research Dissertation 600.

NB    Students may only select the dissertation if they have a course weighted average of 70% over both semester one and two. (The dissertation is comprised of two units).
