Introduction

This multidisciplinary course provides specialised advanced training for graduates or occupational health and safety practitioners with an emphasis on risk and safety management and occupational injury and disease prevention. It allows for a degree of additional specialisation according to individual needs and upon successful completion provides entry into the Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Course Entry Requirements/

A bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary education institution.

Specific Requirements

Regular access to a computer and the internet will be required to undertake all units.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course is one semester full-time study or equivalent part-time study and conducted on a fully online basis.

Course Organisation

This course emphasises risk and safety management, and occupational injury and disease prevention. Students also explore legislation and regulations applicable to occupational health and safety. Learning is complemented with a specialist topic chosen to suit students’ interests and future career needs.
