Syllabus: Introduction to supply and value chain management (logistics) concept. Procurement, transportation, inventory control, production, distribution, warehousing, order processing and information systems, customer service. Global logistics, e-business, e-logistics and order fulfilment using supply chain concepts. Inter-organizational information systems, relationship and linkages for supply chain members. Awareness of the industrial software available. Current information from the Internet.
