Syllabus:	This unit provides an introduction to biostatistics and epidemiology, the nature of data collected in epidemiological and biomedical research; statistical and graphical methods for summarizing, describing and reporting data in the health sciences using Microsoft Excel; The logic of inferential statistics; Confidence intervals; Statistical methods for testing hypotheses; investigating Correlation; t tests; Chi-squared tests and epidemiological measures.
