Introduction

This course will provide you with a thorough foundation in contemporary business theories emphasising the creation and critical evaluation of innovative ideas and strategies within ambiguous and uncertain business environments. Throughout the course, students will complete a broad range of high-level, general and specialised business units. It is aimed primarily at middle and senior managers looking to improve their standing in industry, combining current business theory and local and international perspectives with hands-on project work and is interwoven with a core set of values reflecting our commitment to ethical and sustainable corporate governance practices.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution and at least three years subsequent, relevant work experience. Graduates from the Curtin Graduate Certificate in Business will be considered qualified for entry. Entry to the course is competitive and applicants will be required to undertake an interview as the final stage of application assessment.

Specific Requirements

The Graduate Board of Examiners requires, unless there are exceptional circumstances, that those with more than two failures in the course or more than four units with grades below 60 per cent be excluded from the course, so as to maintain the high standard expected of such a prestigious qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This course may be completed in 1.5 years full-time or the equivalent in part-time study and can also be completed fully online, dependent on unit selection. International students on student visas are not permitted to study fully online.

Intermediate Awards 1

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate award approved for this course is:
