About Curtin Courses

Open Universities Australia

Open Universities Australia provides people with the opportunity to study a broad range of academic programs and units at a selection of Australian universities and TAFE colleges. It is owned and partnered by seven Australian universities, including Curtin.

Open Universities Australia provides information about what you can study and is a one-stop registration service with advice and support to assist you with your study. The partner universities and colleges provide the course materials and academic support, assess your progress and award your qualifications.

You can study throughout the year and most of the undergraduate first level units have no entry requirements. For more information refer to: open.edu.au

Distance Education

Distance education is an accessible alternative for students who are unable to come to a Curtin campus or who prefer to study from home. Services provided by the Distance Education office include the online delivery of study materials, administration of assignments and student support. Please note: distance education is only available to international students under certain circumstances. Students should contact the appropriate faculty student services office or their international student adviser for more information.

Uniready Enabling Program

The UniReady Enabling Program is a fully online program designed to quality students for entry into Curtin University. This course is particularly suited to students who wish to gain entry to Humanities, Health Sciences and Business courses that do not have specific prerequisites.

The UniReady Enabling Program is free to Australian and New Zealand citizens, and Australian permanent residents, but is not available to international students. It comprises three core units and one optional unit and is offered in two modes: UniReady Online and UniReady Summer.

UniReady Enabling Program - Online

The program is flexible and can be taken over one or two semesters, depending on whether you choose to study full-time or part-time. It has a first semester (start of year) and second semester (mid-year) intake and is studied fully online in both semesters.

UniReady Enabling Program - Summer

The summer program is specifically designed for current year 12 students who have completed a minimum of four Stage 2 courses in year 12 and have an ATAR below 70, which limits their eligibility to enrol in Curtin's undergraduate courses.

This course is a five-week intensive enabling program held on the Bentley Campus during January and February.
