Syllabus: Complex mental health presentations; cultural and other forms of diversity; co-occurring; alcohol and other drugs issues ; bio-psychosocial impact of substance use; substance use as a coping response; alcohol and other drugs policy; domestic and family violence; interaction of mental health and physical health; assessment tools, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention for nurses and allied health professionals.
