Syllabus: An introductory unit in the fundamental principles of chemistry and physics specifically related to health, safety and the environment theory and practice. Inorganic chemistry, including gases, liquids, solids and solutions. Basic laws of physics including force motion and energy, thermal physics and waves and sound. Application of physics and chemistry theory to occupational and environmental settings.
