313509 v.1 Graduate Certificate in Ultrasound

GradCertUltrasound(Curtin)

This course is not available to International Onshore Students on Student Visas

Introduction

This course aims to provide the necessary educational underpinning for those users of ultrasound who will operate in defined areas of practice rather than the broad range of ultrasound examinations required of a sonographer. The program therefore, without additional study, does not lead to registration with the sonography board. It includes the foundation units which provide necessary to maximise imaging capabilities. One unit will be in the area of clinical expertise required by the student, providing them with the necessary theoretical understanding and the clinical skills to produce high quality diagnostic images and their interpretation.

Entry to the Postgraduate Certificate in Ultrasound requires a recognised Bachelor Degree in Medical Imaging Science or a related area.

Recoginition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
