Syllabus: Pathophysiology, clinical presentation diagnosis and clinical decision making for individuals with conditions associated with critical instability: psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, substance addiction and withdrawal, acute cardiovascular and respiratory failure, acid-base imbalances. Classification according to the DSM IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV) and the ICD (International Classification of Diseases and related health problems).
