Syllabus: this unit will become effective for semester 1, 2009. Information structures and data transformation (including XML - Extensible Markup Language), XML schemas and XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation). Communication protocols and definitions for web services (including SOAP - Simple Object Access Protocol), UDDI (Universal Discovery Description and Integration) and WSDL (Web Services Description Language). Web service development (client and server). Security and data integrity. Integration of web services.
