Course Entry Requirements

The UniReady Bridging Course is available to offshore international students only. Applicants are required to have completed high school to Year 12 level or equivalent. Students who have graduated from other institutions e.g. vocational colleges, or currently studying other courses will be considered on an individual basis. Mature age students over 19 years of age with relevant experience will be considered. For admission to the UniReady Bridging Program , applicants must satisfy the English competency and academic requirements for the program. An IELTS (International English Language Testing System) overall band of 6.0 is required. Applicants are also required to submit a 500 word personal statement highlighting their personal goals and aspirations. Completion of the program will meet Curtin's minimum entry requirements.

Specific Requirements

The course is available fully online via flexible delivery modes which include live web conferencing support sessions. At application, students are required to consult with the coordinator to determine eligibility and a career pathway.

Note

Applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Upon successful completion of the course, those who wish to continue on to degree level studies are required to consult with the Course Coordinator to determine eligibility and a career pathway. A tertiary entrance aggregate will be generated from each individual’s academic result.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applicants cannot receive recognition of prior learning for completed bridging units when transferring to award courses.

Course Organisation

Students will complete the units required for matriculation and/or entry into some courses.

Additional Course Expenses

Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.

The mathematics component of the UniReady Bridging Program for International Students may not satisfy the University’s mathematics entry requirements for courses with mathematics pre-requisites.
