313941 v.1 Agriculture Double Degree Major (S&E)

Introduction

This Agriculture Double Degree major is designed to provide graduates with an industry ready understanding of the science and technology required for the productive use of plants and animals for food, fibre and amenity purposes. The course builds from basic biology and agricultural systems including overarching issues such as food security, sustainability, global warming to detailed specifics of crop and animal production and rural development. Post harvest management of crops and the use of plants in enhancing landscapes is also included.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

None. Mathematics 2C/2D and a science course of study level 3A/3B are desirable.

Graduates are eligible to apply for membership of the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology
