Introduction

This course provides health and human service professionals with advanced interprofessional skills to work in mental health recovery and psychosocial interventions with consumers, family members, and carers.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

Bachelor degree in nursing (or eligible for registration as a registered nurse), occupational therapy, psychology, social work or relevant degree wiith a minimum of one year experience post-qualification in mental health or related practice area.

Duration and Availability

This fee-paying course is two years part-time only.

Intermediate Awards 1

A student who has successfully completed the requirements of an approved intermediate award may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of Head of School/Department. Fees apply. Intermediate award(s) approved for this course are:

Professional Recognition

Registered nurses practising within the mental health field in Australia may be eligible to apply credentialing as a Mental Health Nurse (MHN)
