Introduction

Health information management is a challenging profession involving clinical knowledge, health management, database management and administration undertaken with ethical and legal consideration. Health information serves as a platform for clinical care, healthcare planning and management decisions, legal and administrative purposes, research, epidemiology and for evaluating the standards and quality of patient care. This major combines scientific, technical and administration expertise and provides extensive practical experience to ensure you obtain the skills needed to lead the field of health information management.
