Syllabus:	This unit introduces students to key urban economic theories. Students examine property markets as an integrated system, incorporating residential and commercial real estate space (both functional and financial), and development and investment markets. Concepts covered include: the economic cost of spatial interactions; rents, prices, yields, supply and demand; trade, urban location and growth; property market cycles; housing and transportation; the economics of planning and property institutions.
