Syllabus: Periodontology - modifying factors, debridement, accessory aids, irrigating, desensitizing, dressings. Patient communication, assessment, management. Dental trauma, mouthguards. Exodontia - instruments, techniques. Suture removal. Restorative dentistry -further considerations in patient assessment, treatment planning, cavity design, preparation and restoration. Pulp status, pulp therapies. Local analgesia - techniques, protocol. Occlusal, lateral oblique, panoramic, digital radiographs. Orthodontics - assessment, aetiology, classification, growth modification, treatments, appliances, oral health therapist’s role. Alginates, study casts. Bleaching.
