Syllabus: Anatomy, histology and physiology of selected body systems. Embryology, osteology, myology of the head and neck. Development, eruption and exfoliation of teeth. Microscopic structure of oral tissues. Ecology and microflora of the oral cavity. Bacteriology of dental plaque, dental caries, periodontal disease, pulp and periapical pathology. Acute and chronic inflammation. Healing.
