Syllabus: This unit examines the management (drug and non-drug) of common diseases and disorders of the elderly, taking into consideration their individualisation of drug therapy as a result of physiological changes associated with ageing. Evaluation and recommendation of appropriate resources in special problems related to drug management in the elderly; in particular avoidance or minimisation of adverse drug reactions.
