Syllabus: In the context of globalisation, technological convergence and media conglomeration, the roles and responsibilities of journalists and news organisations will be addressed. Through individual/group activities, exercises, assignments and projects, issues involved in the production of news and the organisation structure of news media will be explored. Skills relevant to news writing will be developed.
