Syllabus:	The topics for the first seven weeks will introduce some of the concepts, principles and processes of contemporary visual culture and communication. The remaining topics enable the application of what was introduced earlier, by the intermediary of addressing the domain of advertising and visual representation in particular. Each weekly topic will be supplemented with relevant exercises and activities to enhance understanding of the unit.
