Syllabus: Stages of development within the life cycle with reference to psychological, social, emotional and cognitive capabilities. Sociocultural perspectives on development and significant life events and application to nursing and midwifery practice. Concepts of autonomy, responsibility, relativism, adaptability and cohesion with reference to the unstable client. The dynamic nature of family and social relationships and their impact on individuals and families.
