Syllabus: Using a systems approach: assess, manage, document and evaluate care related to: medication preparation and administration, (oral, topical, intramuscular injections and subcutaneous), pain, mental status (neurological - mini mental), ). Application of therapeutic interventions relating to cardiovascular, respiratory, oxygen management for home environments. Wounds (simple) and removal of sutures. Nutrition (gastrointestinal). Continence: (catheter care, bowel and bladder elimination, aspirate, vomit). Application of therapeutic chronic condition self management skills mobility/immobility, pressure risk.
