Syllabus: Advanced Corrosion Chemistry: Forms of corrosion, corrosion kinetics, localized corrosion, corrosion control, inhibitor chemistry, advanced case studies. (8 lectures); Industrial Chemistry: Case studies of important chemical industries, chemical processing of resources, including solvent extraction and crystallization. (8 lectures); Polymers: Preparation, characterization, applications, coatings, pigments, physical properties, failure analysis. (8 lectures)
