Syllabus: Thermodynamic properties, work, heat, first, second and third laws; ideal and real gases, thermodynamic properties of fluids, production of power and power cycles, introduction to vapour liquid equilibrium, phase behaviour and critical conditions; free energy and chemical potential, mixtures and activity coefficients, phase equilibrium, chemical reaction equilibrium.
