Syllabus: Development of clinical competencies in the diagnosis, treatment and management of common peripheral neuromusculoskeletal disorders across the lifespan. Aspects of common acute and chronic peripheral joint and soft tissue disorders covered include: aetiology, pathology, diagnosis, clinical features, clinical examination, clinical decision making and management strategies, education, prevention, manipulative therapy and soft tissue treatments. Indications for radiological investigations and referral to other health practitioners. Indications for surgical intervention, standard surgical techniques and the post-operative management of common peripheral neuromusculoskeletal disorders.
